Since 1860, Louisiana State University (LSU) has educated students and produced professionals in science, technology, agriculture, business and liberal arts. Ranked as a top tier institution by U.S. News & World Report for eight years straight, LSU is nationally recognized for a number of quality degree programs, including:

  • Flores MBA Program, which ranked in the Top 30 in Forbes magazines' Best Business Schools 
  • Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture undergrad program, which ranked number one in DesignIntelligence magazine’s list of America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools

LSU boasts a community of more than 33,000 faculty, staff and students from every state and approximately 120 countries. With bachelor's degrees in 70 major fields, master's degrees in 74 fields and doctoral degrees in 50 major fields, LSU offers programs to prepare any student for a rewarding career. To complement the academics, LSU offers students a diverse college experience. Students regularly attend games to cheer on LSU’s nationally-ranked athletic teams, from football to track and field and gymnastics.  

The university also encourages parents and families to visit campus throughout the year by hosting a number of family-friendly events, such as Family Weekend. The event allows parents and families of students to experience LSU firsthand and welcomes visitors with activities like dinner socials, an official tailgate and brunch at the conclusion of the weekend.
